Bad food during training is like poison. Well, bad food is always poison, but during training we really need that good energy to get us going, and if we don't have it we will just get tired and get no results.

A banana is a good pre-workout snack. However if it is green, it could cause bloating which would really make you uncomfortable. Green bananas are still on the starch stage which will not be easily absorbed as a well ripened banana.
